International Awards

Each year, the Office of International Affairs presents two international awards to deserved recipients: The Sheth Distinguished Internatinal Alumni Award and The Marion V. Creekmore Award for Internationalization. This year's International Awards night will be held on November 16, 2009.

The Sheth Distinguished International Alumni Award, established by the generous gift of Madhu and Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing, seeks to recognize Emory University's international alumni who have distinguished themselves in service to universities, governments, private sector firms and/or nongovernmental organizations.

The Marion V. Creekmore Award for Internationalization
is given each year to an Emory faculty member who excels in the advancement of the University's commitment to internationalization. The award was established by the generous gift of Claus M. Halle and honors the work of Marion V. Creekmore, who served as Emory University's first vice provost for international affairs and as the director of The Claus M. Halle Institute for Global Learning.
